Michael W. Roderick

Michael Roderick is currently President and Owner of Roderick Realty Services, a Utah based Commercial Real Estate Brokerage and Property Management Company. Michael is also General Partner of Roderick Enterprises, Fashion Square LP, Pheasant Hollow Business Park and Roderick Management. These entities develop and invest in commercial real estate throughout the intermountain west. Michael is responsible for the development, leasing and management of all of the various entities. He has personally developed over 2 million square feet of retail, industrial and office properties. He has leased or sold over $600 million of property throughout his career. Some of the projects Michael has completed include: Pheasant Hollow Business Park ( 12 buildings consisting of 750,000 sf ), North Pointe Business Park (3 buildings consisting of 350,000 sf), Logan Business Park (2 buildings consisting of 70,000 sf), Fashion Square ( 4 Buildings 122,000 sf ), Fashion Plaza ( 125,000 lifestyle Center ), Highland Place ( 85,000 SF Whole Foods anchored center ), Olde Towne Square ( 65,000 SF Retail ), Valley Business Center ( 85,000 SF Office Warehouse ).

Benjamin Wheat

Ben Wheat, our Vice President of Development and Leasing, brings an extensive background in commercial real estate finance, development, and strategic growth to Roderick Enterprises. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Westminster College in 2002 and began his career with Wells Fargo, where he gained experience in portfolio management, credit risk analysis, employee development, and branch growth. Ben later joined Bank of American Fork as Vice President and Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer, specializing in construction and long-term financing for major real estate projects throughout the Wasatch Front. During his eight-year tenure, he established the bank’s first Davis County branch, growing it into the largest branch in the northern region within just 18 months. He also independently grew his commercial loan portfolio from $3 million to more than $54 million. Ben further expanded his expertise by earning a Master of Science in Real Estate Development and Graduate Certificate in Urban Planning from the University of Utah. His unique combination of finance, lending, development, and real estate expertise brings a well-rounded and strategic perspective to the development and leasing efforts at Roderick Enterprises.

Renee L. Schmid, CPM, RPA

Renee Schmid, our Asset/Property Manager, brings over 40 years of commercial real estate experience and more than two decades of dedicated service to Roderick Enterprises. A graduate of the University of Utah, Renee earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and began her career with Wallace Associates, where she developed extensive experience in accounting, financial analysis, lease administration, and property management. She later spent more than nine years with Cottonwood Realty Services managing a diverse portfolio of office, retail, and industrial properties, including the nearly 500,000-square-foot Class A Cottonwood Corporate Center. Renee joined Roderick Enterprises in 2004 and has since played an integral role in the management and oversight of our approximately 3 million square foot portfolio of office, industrial, and retail properties. Her decades of experience provide an exceptional depth of knowledge in property operations, lease administration, financial management, tenant relations, and asset management. Renee holds the prestigious Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), as well as the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from BOMI International. Her extensive industry knowledge, sound judgment, and longstanding commitment to the properties she manages have made her an invaluable part of Roderick Enterprises.

Melisa Eggleston

Melisa Eggleston, our Controller, brings nearly four decades of accounting and financial management experience, with an extensive background in commercial real estate. She graduated with honors from the University of Utah in 1988, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, and began her career with Grubb & Ellis before joining Barlow-Nielsen Associates, where she led the property accounting department for more than 14 years. Throughout her career, Melisa has developed extensive expertise in property accounting and financial operations across retail, office, industrial, and residential real estate, as well as a wide variety of ownership entities. Her depth of industry knowledge, financial expertise, attention to detail, and decades of hands-on experience make her an integral part of the financial operations and continued success of Roderick Enterprises.

AMY BROADBENT, CMCP

Amy Broadbent, our Office Manager/Assistant Property Manager, brings over fifteen years of experience in Business Operations and Management, with a strong background in commercial real estate, executive office management, leadership, and client relations. Throughout her career, Amy has managed multimillion-dollar commercial properties, led teams across multiple locations, and developed extensive experience in Business Administration, Operations, IT and Telecommunications, and Property Management. Amy attended Salt Lake Community College on a full-ride collegiate softball scholarship, where she earned recognition on the President’s List while completing her Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Psychology. She later earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah, graduating with honors. Amy has also earned the Certified Manager of Commercial Properties (CMCP) certification and is a commissioned Notary Public for the State of Utah. Her combination of education, professional expertise, and years of hands-on leadership has shaped her into a well-rounded property management professional known for her ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, build strong relationships, and keep operations moving forward..

dustin Mcclellan

Dustin McClellan, our Maintenance Supervisor, brings over 25 years of hands-on property maintenance and facilities experience to Roderick Enterprises. His history with the company began alongside his father, who previously served as Maintenance Supervisor for Roderick Enterprises. Dustin spent years working alongside him in the field, learning firsthand the properties, building systems, and high standards of care that he now carries forward in the same role today. Throughout his career, Dustin has helped maintain more than 3 million square feet of retail, industrial, and office properties to award-winning standards. Today, Dustin serves as the eyes and ears of our properties in the field, conducting regular property inspections throughout the valley and proactively identifying and addressing concerns before they become larger issues. His extensive hands-on knowledge allows him to troubleshoot everything from compactors and overhead doors to general building maintenance, property conditions, and tenant needs. His ability to assess problems, find solutions, and keep our properties operating at a high standard makes him an invaluable resource to our tenants and the entire Roderick Enterprises team.
