Michael Roderick

Michael Roderick is currently President and Owner of Roderick Realty Services, a Utah based Commercial Real Estate Brokerage and Property Management Company. Michael is also General Partner of Roderick Enterprises, Fashion Square LP, Pheasant Hollow Business Park and Roderick Management. These entities develop and invest in commercial real estate throughout the intermountain west. Michael is responsible for the development, leasing and management of all of the various entities. He has personally developed over 2 million square feet of retail, industrial and office properties. He has leased or sold over $600 million of property throughout his career. Some of the projects Michael has completed include: Pheasant Hollow Business Park ( 12 buildings consisting of 750,000 sf ), North Pointe Business Park (3 buildings consisting of 350,000 sf), Logan Business Park (2 buildings consisting of 70,000 sf), Fashion Square ( 4 Buildings 122,000 sf ), Fashion Plaza ( 125,000 lifestyle Center ), Highland Place ( 85,000 SF Whole Foods anchored center ), Olde Towne Square ( 65,000 SF Retail ), Valley Business Center ( 85,000 SF Office Warehouse ).

Benjamin Wheat

Ben Wheat, our Vice President of Development and Leasing, received a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Westminster College in 2002. He began his professional career that same year with Wells Fargo. During his five years at Wells Fargo, he performed a wide variety of duties including portfolio management, employee development, credit risk analysis and the steady growth of branch portfolios. Ben continued his professional career with Bank of American Fork where he was a Vice President\Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer for eight years. During his tenure at Bank of American Fork, he established the bank’s first branch in Davis County. Under his supervision, the branch became the largest in the northern region within eighteen months. During his service at the bank, Ben was able to expand his portfolio independently from $3,000,000 to over $54,000,000. His professional emphasis and area of expertise were construction and long-term financing for major real estate projects along the Wasatch Front. In December of 2010, Ben received an M.S. in Real Estate Development and a Graduate Certificate in Urban Planning from the University of Utah. Ben brings years of experience and education to Roderick Enterprises.

Renee L. Schmid, CPM, RPA

Renee Schmid, our asset/property manager, received her Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Utah in 1983. She began her professional career that same year working for Wallace Associates, a Salt Lake real estate development and management firm. While employed at Wallace for over ten years, she performed a wide variety of accounting duties, financial analysis, lease administration and property management functions. She also worked with Cottonwood Realty Services for over nine years managing several third-party properties including office buildings, retail shopping centers and industrial properties, as well as the corporate headquarters at The Cottonwood Corporate Center, a class A office park consisting of nearly 500,000 square feet. Renee has been with Roderick Enterprises since October 2004 and currently manages their portfolio of office, industrial and retail properties consisting of approximately 2.2 million square feet. In June 2004, she received her CPM from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and in May 2012, she received her RPA from BOMI International.

Melisa Eggleston

Melisa Eggleston, our controller, graduated with honors from the University of Utah in 1988 earning a B.A. in accounting. She began her career with Grubb and Ellis, later joining the local commercial real estate firm Barlow-Nielsen Associates where she managed their property accounting department for over 14 years. Melisa contributed to the great success of Barlow Nielsen, helping the company earn millions. Melisa has experience with retail, office, industrial and residential properties, as well as many different ownership entities.

AMY BROADBENT

Amy Broadbent, our Office Manager/Assistant Property Manager, has over twelve years’ experience in Business Operations and over 6 years’ experience working in the Executive Office Suite world, managing multimillion dollar Commercial Real Estate properties, leading a large team of property managers, and overseeing the daily success and operations of each location.  Amy has a wide variety of skill sets including Business Administration/Operations, IT and Telelcom expertise, Commercial Property Management and Leadership Management skills.  She graduated from Salt Lake Community College in 2009 with an Associates of Science degree and then went on to graduate from the University of Utah in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree focusing her expertise on in business management. As one of the first points of contact with our clients, her expertise in communications, business operations and property management, she is a great asset to the Roderick Enterprises’ team.

dustin Mcclellan

Dustin, our Maintenance Manager, has over 20 years experience in property maintenance. Over his career he has maintained over 2 million square feet of commercial, retail, industrial and medical properties to award winning standards. He provides a concierge level of service to his tenants, regardless of their volume or size, while being a key asset to his fellow team members at Roderick Enterprises.
